We are the northwest Indiana chapter of Women in the Wind and we like to ride. Our purpose is to unite women motorcyclists with friends of common interest. To promote a positive image to the public of women on motorcycles. To help educate its members on motorcycle safety and maintenance.
We have a monthly meeting on the last Sunday of each month. Our chapter sisters also enjoy a monthly Food & Fun Social on the 2nd Monday. We meet to participate in local charity rides and in the beginning of the riding season we start with a of bike blessings. Weather permitting we ride after our monthly meetings. Some rides are only a couple hours but sometimes they last into early evening. Many of our rides seem to include a food or ice cream stop. Annually, a group of us ride to Women in the Wind Summer Nationals and our founder, Brycie Slabough often trailers her bike to Winter Nationals. We have ridden to Kansas City, New York, Smokey Mountains and Sparks, Nevada. This year the event is sponsored by Women in the Wind's founding Chapter in Ohio.
We have riders at all levels of experience from new riders to some with over 20 years on the road. Most of our members are somewhere in between. We do not have any mandatory rides, all rides are optional for our members.
Looking for women to ride with? Want more information? Contact us? We would love to ride with you. Join us to our next adventure!
