We are the northwest Indiana chapter of Women in the Wind. Our purpose is to unite women motorcyclists with friends of common interest. To promote a positive image to the public of women on motorcycles. To help educate its members on motorcycle safety and maintenance.
We have a monthly meeting on the last Sunday of each month. Our chapter sisters also enjoy a monthly Food & Fun Social in the second week of each month. Weather permitting we ride after our monthly meetings. Some rides are only a couple hours but sometimes they last into early evening. Many of our rides seem to include a food or ice cream stop. We participate in local charity rides and in the beginning of the riding season we start with a of bike blessing. Annually, a group of us ride to Women in the Wind Summer Internationals. We have ridden to, Kansas City, Newburgh, NY, Smokey Mountains, Sparks, Nevada, Toledo, Lake George, NY, Hershey, and Denver. This year the event is in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We have riders at all levels of experience from new riders to some with over 20 years on the road. Most of our members are somewhere in between. We do not have any mandatory rides, all rides are optional for our members.
Looking for women to ride with? Want more information? Contact us? We would love to ride with you. Join us to our next adventure!
Come join us in the 2020 riding season. Take a look at our event page and join us for socially distant ride, meeting or social. We look forward to meeting you.
